About the TVNETCO Travel Network Placard

As the reach of TVNETCO's network continues to grow, the design and marketing teams work to evolve and strengthen its brand strategy. A key element of this process is occasional redesign of its network web sites and updating of icons and graphics. Our most recent development is the Travel Network Placard. This icon will be displayed on the websites of TVNETCO customers to help represent affiliation with the Travel and Vacation Network.

Why use the Travel Network Placard?

In order to continually drive Internet viewership and promote loyalty among the patrons of its clients, TVNETCO believes it is important to establish a familiar connection between all of its clients' websites. Prominent display of the Travel Network Placard serves to build trust between you and your site's visitors, as well as act as a remdinder of your affiliation with the insightful content and useful features found on the Travel and Vacation Network.

How do I deploy the placard?

We have put together a list of requirements for the proper display of the Travel Network Placard, a selection of the currently available icon styles, snippets of HTML for use by your web designers, and sample text descriptions

To be in compliance with contractual arrangements, placement of the Travel Network Placard must meet four criteria:

  • Usage of the Travel Network Placard appropriate for your destination
  • Proper hosting of the placard graphic file (it must be stored and served from your Travel and Vacation network website)
  • Proper placement in an appropriate location of your choosing on the homepage of your site
  • Accompanyment by a brief text description and appropriate links to the Travel and Vacation network website for your location

TVNETCO does not restrict or mandate the specific location within your homepage layout where the icon or text should reside, and does not restrict your choice of styling for the accompanying text. However, neither can be hidden or obscured from view by use of CSS or Javascript techniques. It is preferable for the two to be in close proximity.

Your deployment of the placard should include two links, one to your listing on the Travel and Vacation Network, and another to either the homepage of the network site for your destination, or the directory listing for your category (i.e. http://www.bransontravelandvacation.com/hotels/).

Provided the links are kept in tact per our guidelines here, we encourage you to customize the text description from the examples provided. This will provide a more personalized and targeted link that will better serve to drive traffic to your site.
